Online counselling in English for people living in France
Some things are difficult to talk about—even when you know you need to.
You might be feeling anxious, struggling in a relationship, or finding that the same worries keep going round in your head. Perhaps you are managing everyday life but finding it increasingly hard work.
I’m Dom Wymark, an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist based in France. I offer online counselling in English, with over 15 years’ experience supporting people through difficult periods in their lives.
€45 per 50-minute session · Online appointments · Free introductory chat
A place to talk openly
Living in France can bring opportunities and challenges. Being away from familiar people, navigating another language or adjusting to a different life can sometimes add to what you are already carrying.
But what brings you to counselling might have nothing to do with living abroad.
You may want support with:
- Anxiety, overthinking or feeling constantly on edge.
- Low self-worth and the feeling that you are never quite good enough.
- People-pleasing, difficulty saying no or putting your own needs last.
- Relationship difficulties or patterns you find yourself repeating.
- Grief, loss, loneliness or changes that are difficult to adjust to.
- Feeling overwhelmed, stuck or unsure what you need.
You do not need a neat explanation before getting in touch. We can begin with what you are finding difficult.
About me
I’m an ISP-accredited therapist with over 15 years experience. Before retraining in counselling, I spent more than 20 years working in the flooring and service industry.
That background is part of what I bring to my work: a down-to-earth approach and an interest in understanding people as they are.
My approach is integrative, which means I draw on different ways of understanding difficulties and adapt our work to you. We might explore how earlier experiences affect your relationships today, make sense of an emotional response, or consider a practical change you would like to try.
There is room for reflection and for honest conversation. We can talk about what feels helpful, what does not, and what you would like from our work together.
How we get started
1. Send me a brief enquiry
Let me know you are interested in counselling and when you are usually available. You can share a little about what brings you here, but you do not need to include sensitive details in your first message.
2. Have a free introductory chat
We will arrange an online conversation to discuss what you are looking for, answer your questions and consider whether working together feels suitable.
This is an introductory conversation rather than a full therapy session. There is no obligation to continue.
3. Arrange your first session
If we agree to work together, we will find a suitable appointment time. Individual sessions last 50 minutes and cost €45.
We will discuss confidentiality and its limits, payment and cancellation arrangements before beginning.
A few things you might want to know
Do I need to live near you?
No. I work online with English-speaking adults living in France, so you do not need to travel to an appointment.
What do I need for an online session?
A reliable internet connection, a phone, tablet or computer suitable for video calls, and a private space where you can speak comfortably. I will explain how to join before we meet.
What if I don’t know what to say?
You can start by saying exactly that. We can take time to understand what has prompted you to seek support.
How many sessions will I need?
That depends on what you want support with. We will discuss it together and review how the work is going, rather than decide on a fixed number before we have met.
