Menopause has a way of sneaking in sideways.
One minute you’re tired.
Then anxious.
Then forgetful.
Then suddenly furious about absolutely nothing.
That doesn’t mean you’re falling apart.
It means your hormones are changing — and nobody gave you the memo.
This phase is confusing because it’s under-explained, not because you’re weak.
Be kind to yourself today.
If you know a woman who needs to hear this today, please feel free to share with them.

Nobody tells you that menopause can mess with your brain.
Not “can’t remember a name” brain.
More “why am I standing in this room and where are my keys” brain.
Brain fog is common.
Frustrating.
And very real.
You’re not losing intelligence — your hormones are just freelancing.

Menopause anxiety is sneaky.
It doesn’t always look like panic.
Sometimes it looks like:
• irritability
• restlessness
• racing thoughts
• dread for no obvious reason
That doesn’t mean you’re fragile or weak.
It means your nervous system is under hormonal pressure.
Go gently today.

You’re not calm — you’re just holding everything together.
High-functioning anxiety doesn’t always look like anxiety.
It looks like coping, planning, overthinking, and staying in control.
From the outside: capable.
From the inside: tense, tired, never fully at rest.
This isn’t a mindset problem.
It’s a nervous system that never gets to stand down.
I’ve written more about why this happens — and how therapy can help you feel safe without holding everything together — here:

Menopause doesn’t arrive politely.
It creeps in through:
• anxiety
• exhaustion
• brain fog
• rage that feels wildly out of character
And because no one really warned us, many women assume they’re failing somehow.
You’re not.
This is menopause — and it’s a lot more than hot flushes.
